Terms of Service

1. The service

Capsule lets a host create a "capsule" where guests upload photos and messages during an event. The capsule stays sealed until a reveal date chosen by the host. On that date, participants receive an email with the host’s message, the revealed album and, on Premium plans, an AI-generated reveal video.

2. Accounts

You need an account to create capsules. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Guests can contribute without an account.

3. Your content and responsibilities

You keep ownership of the photos and messages you upload. You are responsible for what you and your guests upload.

You confirm that you have the right to upload the content, and that people shown in the photos consent to being photographed and to the photos being shared within the capsule.

You must not upload illegal content, content that infringes someone else’s rights, or content that is hateful, harassing or sexual involving minors. We may remove content or suspend capsules that break these rules.

4. Licence to operate the service

To run Capsule, you grant us a limited licence to store, process and display your content for the purpose of providing the service to you and your participants — including generating the reveal video on Premium plans. We do not use your content for any other purpose.

5. Plans, payment and refunds

Capsule offers a free tier and paid plans, charged per capsule, plus business subscriptions. Prices are shown before payment and processed by Stripe.

Because a paid capsule unlocks features immediately (more photos, custom date, reveal video), paid plans are generally non-refundable once the capsule is active. If something goes wrong on our side, contact hello@capsule.camera and we will make it right.

6. The reveal

We send the reveal around the date you choose. We aim to deliver on time but cannot guarantee an exact minute, and email delivery depends on the recipient’s provider. The AI reveal video is generated automatically and we do not guarantee a specific creative result.

7. Availability and disclaimers

We work to keep Capsule reliable but provide the service "as is", without warranties. We are not responsible for content uploaded by users, for loss caused by factors outside our control, or for indirect or consequential damages. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the capsule in question.

8. Termination

You can delete your capsules or account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

9. Governing law
